Same name, different personality?

I`ve seen a name re-appear, a name that disappeared for a little while. The obnoxious personality has been replaced by a much nicer, gentle one. Obviously cannot be the same person.

How or why does this happen? Or did I jump onto a different plane a couple of days ago!

Possibly a troll-clone...........

Care to name names ..........? :o)
-- answer removed --
name names msevp... I know a lot about trouts
Question Author
Jack: could you elucidate on the troll-clone please?

Henry: could be, but what`s that got to do with this question!
Or perhaps someone joined and has the same name? There's a chinadoll as well as me on the site.
Question Author
Sorry, Jack, can`t name, that`s not my thing.

I`ll take guesses, tho! No, just kidding.
Question Author
No, China, this is a very specific name, very unusual one. No-one else would want it.
Some of the more bothersome types (trolls) find it amusing to copy/clone the name of an established and respected user and then behave badly..........

If I'm correct flump has been copied as flump1 by gravy/lungy/armylad; and there was a spate whereby names were used including capital i's in the place of a lower case L and for a while we seemed to have a mind-boggling array of threads full of people arguing with their own names...............(not sure if this is possible to do any longer).......
is it me?

Thanks for that, Jack. How can you register with someone else`s name? Are there no security checks with AB editor or whatever? Isn`t your e-mail address taken into consideration? How does AB let this happen?

No, darling Earsugar, first time I`ve come across you. Nice to meet you.
Im lovely and relieved its not me, phew! x x
A troll it could be. From swedish folklore. At school I learned many things about them. Will not cause harm to you. Sorry if english is bad.

Soren.
I've just seen a face I can't forget the time or place where we just met, she is the girl for me and I want all the world to see we've met la la la la la la.
Precisely and Thank you anagramatical News Desk
First, get yourself a whole hat-full of hotmail addresses, you could register as;
Fred @hotmail
Bill@hotmail, etc, etc.

Then you register with AB, and, using your name for example,
I choose Ms(space)EVP, so Ms EVP. AB's computer sees the difference and allows me to log-on in, after all, what is a unique sign-on name.................and hey-presto, until such time as AB Ed sees fit to remove the 'imposter' you are stuck with it.
Was it me ?

I am

The messsssssssssssssssssssssssssiahhhhhhhh
Question Author
So, what can anyone do if they see their name being used by an imposter? How can anyone convince any other AB`er that it`s not them? Or is the ensuing bedlam supposed to liven up the site?

As you can see I`m a novice to AB, but today I learned what a cyberspace troll was!
Question Author
Brilliant AG, so Soren isn`t who he says he is. He`s probably you!

Thanks, Jack

And Leg, no it`s NOT you, but soon might be!
It can be quite alarming for the 'cloned' to start with but usually the intent of the 'cloner' is to cause trouble and in doing so they reveal their true colours, if not their true identity.

I think we were saved from the prospect of utter chaos by the trolls being ejected before they turned grey..................their very greenness allowed for other Abers to differentiate.

Quite what goes on in their fevered little minds one can only speculate over....................but I don't think that there was any lasting harm done.
