I am struggling with the last three in a quiz. I have posted before but got nothing definite so will try the night shift. I am sure there are some of you still out there,
1 - Which animal has the biggest eyes of any living creature?
2 - In which country was ice cream first produced?
3 - Which Irish surname means ''warlike one''?

3 well Murphy means descendant of sea warrior?
1 Giant Squid
Question Author
Yes! and Kelly means brave warrior - but I think the compiler has a name with that specific meaning in mind. I have a name which is not (I think) Irish which means warlike follower but can't be sure of that either.
2 China
Oh dear i see
well for number 2 youd be tempted with Italy but reputedly Marco Polo brought back the recipe from the far east and there are Biblical references
Question Author
Giant squid confirms something I found on Google, but Britannica has it that the Tarsier has the largest eyes of any animal.

With Ice cream I have to assume that the compiler means ice cream pretty much as we know it today so that can't predate refrigeration (1812) or can it?. Disregarding anything before say 1820 I can find ice cream in Victoriuan England but that can be anywhere between 1842 -1901 and there are reference sto ice cream parlours in USA in 1861 and you don't open shops to sell some thing that hasn't yet been invented so it must have been around in the States in 1850 something and that could be clashing with Victorian Britain. I think Italy improved on something that originated elsewhere.
Think id go with the USA for mass production and the tarsier is a size proportionate to its body size rather than the largest eyes of all

Thanks to all at night school! I think I am going with Giant Squid USA fgor ice cream and Martin which means warlike follower of Martius - but I don't think it's an Irish name.

3. The Irish surname Tracey ceratinly means "warlike one," derived from the Gaelic Treasaigh.
I think that the answer to the eye may be -

Colossal Squid (which is a bigger species than the Giant Squid)
