Fat as Rupert even (4) S - E -

Suet answers the 'fat' part and if it is right could someone explain the Rupert bit. Thanks.

Many thanks both of you for your quick response - it's good to know how an answer is arrived at.
Suet.... a type of fat.... plus if you count letters on an even basis (ie every other one they read out the word s.u.e.t - just start from the *s* in "as*...). The word Rupert is just put in there to collect the letters, it has no real meaning.
