We are coming to the end of a memorable reign of The Dinky Duke in which I have been AWOL for a couple of weeks. My sincere thanks go to gen2 for such a polished performance in my absence and "Congratulations" to The Dinky Duke, himself for being virtually self-sufficient. We shall see his last set of four words to be linked tomorrow morning at 9.00am.

Also look out for seekeerz from Oz, who is the regular organiser of the international version of this same game (called KM Links). That usually kicks off at the unearthly hour of about 06.30am in which we attempt to predict the four link words of the Daily Telegraph's weekend challenge. Quite a few entrants have scored 4 out of 4 here in the recent past.

What will happen tomorrow is anyone's guess. Certainly the winner of the MM June's Challenge will earn the right to set the links throughout the month of July! There are several in the leading bunch ~ but the winner will have to hold their nerve.

Me? I am crofter, Keeper of the Rule Book and Ancient Abacus.

See you tomorrow, but until then "Happy Linking"!

Gosh, there are very few of you here tonight. I know where you are, as I said you are a young lot pretending to be crumblies but I KNOW you are now all in your wellies and at Glastonbury.

Rock On!
If I may ask - from the last outpost of the Empire - what is an Anne Summer's party?
It's like Tupperware but more entertaining
well folks who is going to do the explaining?

there you are onty

Well, it would need to be as Tupperware parties certainly weren't very entertaining. So what happens at the Anne What's her name one?
In the politest way I can think of expressing it, it is a shop/network that sells underwear and "toys" for women over (not necessarily) the age of consent.

Totally unrelated to this song!:

That should make the rabbit run
I mean't - reference to Jans post
always liked that one strix, thanks
And after she picked herself up off the floor she wanted to know what Roger Rabbit thought of Anne Whathername's parties and he said:

Crikey, blimey and gawd almighty I have just looked at jan1956 link and my eyes are watering and my nether regions are feeling redundant by comparison to the battery-powered options on offer.

So maybe I can rely on Jerry Lee Lewis as a Stand in:!

Strix I'm moving over to the more genteel side of the shrubbery if you don't mind.

Really good stuff tonight....Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and now Elvis Presley.....much better than the Nelson Mandella concert
Ont-ice, knew well the "Dude looks like a lady" song but the Roger Rabit video (if that is what it is called these days) is wonderful.
I started the party off nice and gentile with Pimms and a garden party,
Jan, "I started the party off nice and gentile with Pimms and a garden party," do you mean it's getting better or worse?

More "genteel" or descending into the gutter?!!
Pimms and a garden party sounds lovely, but I think it is now a pint of bitter and a disco......probably "better" maybe
Well, folks. It's suppertime in these here parts so I must go and feed the hungry.
See you all next week.
Onty

Let's cheer it up with an "easy" track before we all get serious:

And I will drag you 16 year olds, slowly, decade by decade into the 21st century:

AND where the h*ll are the rest of the male contingent? They can't all be at Glastonbury swigging scrumpy and head-banging.

Surely?
