The answers are garden related to that particular issue I think so you might need the magazine to work out
no I didn't mean slash in 7d (thought I had corrected that)

can only see arborist for 7d...in terms of gardening
Are you sure of the letters in 7d ?
ALUMROOT is a kind of a saxifrage if the O might be wrong.

Thanks Pauline and ladyalex the O is definitely correct and I do not think myrtle fits the clue I will have to keep trying
11d. Pyrola?..this is a medicinal herb (simple)
