Question Author
Just to say mazie, thank you once again, it seems that your word is correct
Hello again kellee - I am now doubting CIRRA, as the plural of CIRRUS is actually CIRRI. Can you check your 'A' before posting off your puzzle. Cheers, ja
Question Author
Hello johnalex, l have checked and your cirra is the one that fits in with (educationprofound learning).Thank you again for caring.
Thanks kellee - the amber light is still shining on CIRRA which is not listed in Chambers. If the A comes from educAtion could this be changed for 'Erudition' or would that mess up your other clues? Unfortunately, I don't have the puzzle in front of me or I would check the connecting clues. Anyway, I'm probably wrong about the whole thing!

Sorry for delay in answering and your word ERUDITION does seemto fit, l looked up meaning and it' s meaning is profound learning, jut goes to show how many of our english words can have the same meaning, its just a matter as wether they fit into the grid in the correct way, no doubt when it comes to the answsers for these the editor of the mag will have a lot of explaining regarding the several meanings, n o doubt quite a few people have had the same bother, l do not really care if l am not one of the winners,l just like doing the puzzles to keep my brain working and l have learnt a lot of new words,l already am fairly good at english, best subject at school, many moons ago,but it never hurts to keep on learning .Once again thank, you very much.
Kellee - thanks for the feedback and you are right about the versatility of the English language. Also, you have a good attitude about puzzles - just enjoy them and pick up new words as you go, even if you can't finish off. There's always another puzzle in tomorrow's paper! Good Luck, ☺ja
