Take the (L) out of KELVIN to get KEVIN
But who is Kelvin the lecturer ?
L = lecturer removed from Kelvin.
Lord Kelvin lectured at Glasgow University and Kelvin hall was named after him

The British Association, every year I think, appoint someone as the Kelvin Lecturer (in memory/honour of Lord Kelvin).
Bit round-the-bushes (shrubbery?) but there you go,
i.e. totally bl**dy abstruse!

And here I thought that Kelvin was a unit of measurement for temperature !
