clues to questions

Posted this before. S. Rogers knew both Wordsworth and Tennyson who became Poet Laureate in 1843 and 1850 respectively. It can only be those two.

Samuel Rogers knew Wordsworth and Southey and was more contemporary with them than Tennyson who was made Poet Laureate when Rogers was in his eighties and hardly likely to lend him a suit!
