Hey guys,

I have a message from the Techies for you -

"We are currently working to resolve issues with the Answerbank databases as quickly as possible. We apologise for the slowness of the site, but you should notice speed increases going forward. Thanks for your patience"

Sorry again for the problems some of you are experiencing,

AB Ed

Classic Ed

you should notice speed increases going forward
and do we notice a slowing down going backwards lol
looks to me like all the speed increases are going backward. I am now posting on old AB all the time as the new one just keeps banning me.

The new one keeps crashing on. I don't bother with it any more.
snap, 4GS... as I understand it, 'going forward' is just the latest jargon for 'in the future' and is totally unnecessary when the verb refers to the future anyway. I have reported this post to Lucy Thomas and she will be sending the Techies to a re-education camp. (When they've finished going forward.)
speeds going forward??? thats a joke it took me ages to get on to read the post
Hurry up Tecchies, were all losing patients! (sic)

Are you sure the all new singing and dancing AB has not been built like the proverbial Italian tanks?
Be nice to know who I can log in as........
I have put the Eds message through a jargon filter, here is the result:

"We don't know what is wrong with the site and we do not know how to mend it. You will have to put up with it for now until the techies have consulted 'Coding for Dummies' and hopefully they might stumble across a fix. Things are so bad, they can only get better in the future. Please do not give up and go away, we are doing our pi55poor best"
I have just spent time finding the answer to a question only to find it had been answered (twice) 20 minutes earlier, but still showed "no answers". Ahggggg!
see ed, it doesnt hurt keeping us informed.

you keep business that way..
Yes I noticed that too Aquagility. A lot of questions that have beend answered already are showing as though they have no answers. Rather frustrating.
give em a chance, they cant be worse than the government
If they get stuck they can post their SqlServer questions under technology.

Oh but nobody would be able to read them :c(
this one allegedly has only 8 answers. I suspect they are deliberately playing down the number to try to avoid the supertax placed on popular threads.
lol jno...they're like tardis' (tardii?)so much more on the inside...and you never know what day it'll be when you get out again.
Is it a coincidence that this once fine site has been bobbins since Gordon Brown became Prime Minister?

Makes you think?
Mr Bean for President then eh??? :-)
Are we there yet?
Be good to get the home page instead of "unobtainable " and " the site does not have a default" ! (Have to find an answer page directly then go from there)
