This second week of the reign of Queen Jan the First and Foremost began with just a little panic due to AB denying access at the crucial time. Not to worry, Jan was unfazed and battled on and I can now reveal that her chosen Link Words were:

PANIC Buy
One SIDED
Get ALONG
Free KICK

This proved another lean week for points and Strix remarked that the BOGOF theme was missing a second "F". Possibly so! This was a week for catch-up and consolidation ~ rather than leaders pulling ahead.

When there are lots of options available it becomes a bit of a lottery and the very Early Birds emerging from the Shrubbery were not as successful as usual. It fell to burgess as Entrant #7 to take a FREE KICK and convert for TWO POINTS. He was closely followed by Jim (of the jimjools partnership) who can GET ALONG with anyone to pick up the second set of bonus Points. These were isolated Hits and almost a half-hour went by before miss meg struck back at what was developing as a ONE SIDED battle. She was Entrant #24, so business had been quite brisk!

At 10.08, in came the customary late bid from dd47 to carry off the last scalp (and not for the first time) and claim the last Two Points for PANIC BUY! Thereafter, points were few and far between, however Shazza & Chris Hewat popped in during the afternoon to pick up one point each ~ well done to you both!

With few points awarded over the last two weeks, only one person has scored in each week and that is dd47 who I name as HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK.
*** CHEERS ALL ROUND ***

League Table (at this early stage)

4 Points: evsajo & Jim
3 Points: country boy & dd47
2 Points: burgess, Dustybun, Elspeth, Jim, lysander, Magyar, miss meg & Murielmci
As many as seven others are now on one point after this second round

This was an entertaining second themed game from Queen Jan. There are far more problems when posting large amounts of text on AB than the average punter realises. I am pleased to say that Jan appears to have kept her head. Perhaps next week will be more accessible and bring in lots of (bonus) points?

This is crofter signing off for another week, dusting down his (hardly-used) abacus and looking forward to seeing which of the frontrunners can stay the course! Literally ANYONE is capable of winning this MM Link Game!

See you next week: Same time Same place

Until then: HAPPY LINKING

:o)
congrats to the ones who did score, looks like I am keeping you all on your toes
thanks
Crofter for sorting it all out see what I can come up with next week
jan
Jan, you got it all wrong. You're supposed to pick the same links as me!!! ;o) B
silly me, sorry barbara will try harder next week!
Well done to the happy few not outfoxed by Jan!

Well and truly outfoxed!
Having scored nix this time I look forward to next week's offering probably themed, in my case, SODOF!

which stands, of course, for!

"sense of doom or failure"

I shall lurk, trembling, close to the Shrubbery next weeken in anticipation of my immolation.......
Well there's another strategy gone west. Posting late and studying form was no more successful than charging in, all guns blazing at 9 a.m, so nil points again for me. Well done to all those who did score, especially hot shot DD47

IMPORTANT CORRECTION

The "Jim" on 4 points should be "Jools" in the above!

Apologies to jimjools!
HOT SHOT of the week! well what can I say, except a big thank you to Crofter for his hard work, Evsajo & Jim, watch out, it seem's I'm on a roll.
Well !! You really had me fooled there Queen Jan - although I didn't 'choose' dozen (as too many other people already had) I was convinced that you'd been lured into making an IMPULSE BUY of ONE DOZEN bottles. So what was that preamble all about then?
Thanks for an interesting choice of words - lots of possibilities - and thanks to Crofter, who yet again didn't have to worry about my score!
Well still in joint lead - inspite of not scoring this week. Thanks crofter and Jan. Lets see what next week brings. :-)

I have just updated my "master scoreboard" for the month of November and have noticed yet another omission. It concerns JRB who scored 3 points in the first week but did not submit in this, the second week.

He therefore joins dd47 &country boy on 3 points in joint second place! Apologies!
