Stuck on two .....

29a Bird that comes to a full stop (8) ???T?N?E

25d American Indian's beliefs not totally formulated (4)
?R??
The final letter of 25d is second letter of 29a.

I'm also unable to fully justify 1d A lark is in rambling country (3,5). I know it's an anagram and answer is presumably Sri Lanka, but which letter is excluded from clue and why?

Sri Lanka is right
The setter may have meant " A lark's in rambling country" and the automatic checker could have corrected it!

Thanks Strix and crofter .. I appreciate Sri Lanka is right, but is it derived from " A lark is in" ... if so how do we lose a letter? What am I missing?
Question Author
Thanks crofter old mate .. sorry to be pedantic, but I can't rest if the loose ends aren't sorted !! (S) ☺
Loose ends are there to be sorted ~ never left! :o)
Sarumite, it is not first time the DT has presumed an abbreviation (see crofter's post) for an anagram though it is usually better signalled.
