"Disappearing" songs in my iTunes

There are 3 particular songs which keep "disappearing" from my iTunes. I have now downloaded the songs twice and each time they "stay" in my iTunes for a few days and then (suddenly) I try to play them and a) the album artwork has "gone" and I get an on-screen message along the lines of "iTunes cannot play such-and-such a track due to it not being found".
All 3 songs were downloaded from a site that I have used countless times. Also none of the other songs from that site "disappear" off my iTunes.
Any ideas?
