Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

2d Watch a volcano, standing by: trouble-shooter (9) .. I think answer is Vigilante (trouble shooter) and I can see "watch" as either vigil or vigilant, but where does volcano fit in ?

God knows S ! I put vigilante too !
I give up with this crossword .Have just consigned it to the rubbish bin as I could not finish the wretched thing !
It must be one the most vague cryptics around .

Hi shaney ... I still have about 5 unsolved, and will leave it until the morning now. I agree that a good number of the clues are really obscure, and wonder why I soldier on with it each week!!

I must admit that until quite recently I hadn't got into the mind of this setter, but, for the past couple of weeks it has been plain sailing (apart from the one in the bottom left hand corner which I presume is rush ? )

I am the same ..I cannot get into the mindset of it .
I very rarely finish it without help .Anyway I was sick sore and tired of looking at it so off it went for recycling !
