Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I was just wondering about it, my dictionary favours S, but somehow I am drawn to Z (noy very helpful)

Chambers gives Z first, but only just!

Another possible indicator - if you put Appetiser into Google you are asked if you mean Appetizer.

And S has 237K pages, while Z has 2450K pages.

So I've gone for Z.

Why on earth do you do this? Either will be accepted - ask the Telegraph's crossword people if you do not believe me.

Caton, whatever they say, they never publish alternative solutions. And it has always been the habit of compilers (Kate being no exception) to slip in a teasing word now and then.
I fear the paper tells you what they think you want to hear.

So what Aquagility? What does it matter whether the Telegraph actually publishes alternative solutions or not? Why would you (and others) rather guess a solution rather than take the Telegraph's word that they do accept alternative spellings?
