Well after a weekend of March madness, "hare" we are again!

As the saying goes:
Some are born great, some acquire greatness ~ and some have greatness thrust upon them! Perhaps we can never repeat the inborn ability for linkages shown by wickedtongue, so all that we can request is "Thrust! Thrust!"

I have been asked to restate the ground rules and I have traced them back to the following posting when they were refined:

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Quizzes-and-Puz zles/Question344486.html

This posting (above) also has a link back to the original set of rules (dated 26 Oct 2006). Let me emphasise that I (personally) refrain from playing, so that I can remain impartial at all times when it comes to scoring.

To my mind, the philosophy behind these links games was articulated in the middle of January as "A means for having fun and promoting good fellowship. Serious applicants need not apply".

This philosophy is as true now as it was then.

KM kickoff first at some ungodly hour for a Saturday morning (estimated 7.30am tomorrow) and MM kickoff at 9.00am tomorrow (if wickedtongue can control his wicked finger)

Please use the space below for manic ramblings:

sorry I'm late - had to go back for my tin hat because I heard someone mention a marmite sandwich.

sarumite, you can't do that - it's illegal!

crofter - I thought i was the only one to enjoy the crisp sandwiches but it has to be HP sauce. I prefer a chip buttie with chopped up soft fried egg and HP sauce. I've never yet managed to get it all into my mouth as gravity takes over and I get all messy - butter, HP sauce and egg yolk running down my chin - ooooh bliss!!!! I've got a big bag full for the shrubbery tonight!

PAULINE ~ I've just realised that those were two well-disguised anagrams! Well impressed! (for this time of night)

Dustybun ~ I just knew that we had to have something in common and now I know!

I am going to wind down with a glass of red wine and the Rainbow Quiz.

See you all tomorrow when I predict Reg will pull ahead of the pack!
I guess you have all disappeared to bed for your beauty sleep before tackling the shrubbery.
What a mad lot you are!!!!!!
See you all in the morning - Canuck time if you don't mind.
Some us are lucky enough to be born beautiful.....so can probably stay up another hour and have a few more rum and cokes.

We will be we be on Gloucestershire time this week.

Crofter gave me a hand with the links last week but its all my on wicked handiwork this week.

see you nice and early tomorrow
I agree with you wickedtongue - some of us are indeed.
Whatever time you choose we'll still be five hours behind you, but then - on the other hand - we have five hours right now to enjoy so we'll bend our elbows to you.
Don't be too hard on us - pleeeese.
Only just come home and after reading the messages it seems as if i've missed out on a real party. Wine and special sarnies.Well i'll just have to go to bed with a banana sandwich and a bag of caramel snak a jaks and be ready in the morning for wickedtongues wicked mind. How good it would be to get 1 word correct. If there is anyone still sober in the shrubbery goodnight and see you in the morning (hope the sleeping tablets I crushed into that jar of marmite do the trick and everyone oversleeps!!!)
Ah! Evsajo that's very naughty. But, hey girl, if it works!!!!!
Hello Ont-ice the trouble is they may all oversleep but they will probably guess all the words and because Iam up so late and not tired I will feel so rubbish in the morning I won't be able to read the words let alone come up with a reasonable answer. Must think of another cunning plan!!!!
-- answer removed --
Have you read Sarumite's cunning plan? If you could just translate that and get to the shrubbery before him perhaps that would do it for you.
Hi Ont-ice .. have read but don't understand sarumite's plan, but I see the word "mange" and fear he may be planning some kind of biological warfare !
Advise you wear a mask!
Haven't got a clue what sarumites cunning plan is.He is much too intelligent for me.Think what i'll do is just do the best I can this week then spend next week working out the ultimate cunning plan. Perhaps the answer lies with giving wickedtongue ex. strong marmite sanwiches then creeping into his hiding place for clues to Sats. words.(I must be tired I am writing a load of rubbish !!! This may seem silly but as I havent been doing this comp. long I got the impression that you live abroad,is this right or have I really lost the plot
I'm in the Last Outpost of the Empire - C-A-N-A-D-A.
I don't know where Slaney resides but I do know where she's going next week - lucky lady.
I presume that you, Evsago, are in the UK?
Do you remember when you felt you were left out of it all. Can't say that now, girl, as you're right in the thick of it - plotting and planning along with the others. Glad you're enjoying it.
Before I go a word to Slaney. See everything eat just about everything and drink the vino like it was going out of fashion. Bon voyage my friend.
To Sarumite. My Norweigan is a little rusty and the best I can come up with:
The book master with many years theory and practical study and not least suitable experience with methods and particular balance to give as simple and practical import as possible. Thus you who have not opportunity to seek (out) a teacher can come in time, with training, by one's own hand.

Hope you will give us the real translation.
To Sarumite. My Norwegian is a bit rusty but I couldn't resist the challenge.

The book..?.. on many years theory and practical study and not least on suitable experience with methods and particular balance to give as simple and practical import as possible, thus you who have not opportunity to seek (out) a teacher, can come in time with training by one's own hand.

Doesn't quite make sense but the best I can do. Hope you will give us the correct translation.
sorry about the double post - I thought the first hadn't gone as my connection dropped out.
Hey bangor .. what a star you are .. I had no idea what the text said .. only knew it was Norwegian, and cut and pasted it from an on-line site!! I should have known that there is probably no language beyond the comprehension of at least one of the AB brigade.
Now my little ruse has been scuppered and will have to think quickly ............................ !!
;0)

Hey why aren't you two getting busy with your Crossquiz'ss
instead of playing Norwegian 'games'- you're both very clever but time's a'wasting

Later you can tell me how Norwegian was going to help, sarumite - I'm intrigued !!!

Krophta, he say:

True wisdom comes from many sources ~ from books (yes) but also from life itself. Get the balance right between Body and Soul ~ Nurture both ~ Neglect neither!

And worry not if a great teacher does not lead you down the Road to Enlightenment for the greatest teacher lies within each of us! Follow you own dreams for they belong to YOU!
