I wish to sell my collection of Comics from the 70's and 80's worth ( in my estimate ) around 200-300

I sold my Diecast Toys through a local Auction House. To cut a long story short , the experience told me that I should use a specialist auction house in future.

I have obviously googled the query but would appreciate any further info that people may be able to give me on comic auctions. Thanks

you could try ebay, first check out what other comics are selling on there, which might give you a guide, to what yours might be worth, plus you can put a reserve price on them,

out of interest what are the comics or at least the main staple of them.
You could try www.compalcomics.com - they are a reputable specialist online auction house that sell all sorts of comics.

Pipsie, They are mainly Marvel comics from the late 1970's to mid 80's including X-Men ( from the John Byrne era on ) Fantastic Four , New Mutants,Excalibur and others.
Thank you for asking this question.
I have been hoping my collection of 60's DC comics would alleviate some finance problems for me for years now but never had much luck before. Mine are Superman, Lois Lane, Adventure etc. Keep trying to flog them when Superman films come out hoping to ride on the back of publicity but it hasn't worked so far!
According to ebay they're only worth about 1 each but I'm convinced some of the older ones must be worth more.
Airbolt - had a similar experience to you with local auctions.
Sherlockian - thanks for your advice
Keep your fingers crossed for us
