Set in Canada (I think) and also starring the dentist bloke in Grace Under Pressure, it was about an evil guy trying to drug people with beer from the brewery he stole from his brother. At one point Rick Moranis drinks an entire vat of lager. The dialogue seemed to consist entirely of 'get out of here you hosers'?

'Strange Brew' ... still available on video.
I remember finding the flying superhero dog quite funny at the time. Kind of an 80s 'Dumb & Dumber' from what I can remember of it.
How's it going eh? You Hosers! The film was Strange Brew and featured the Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas characters of Bob and Doug McKenzie. The villain of the piece was Max Von Sydow, I think the superhero dog was called Ralph. Also There is the Great White North Album by the McKenzie Brothers featuring Geddy Lee from Rush singing on the their "hit" single "Take Off"
