At the beginning and end of the film "If...." (1968), directed by Lindsay Anderson, there is a hymn played on an organ like you would get in a church hall. It isn't referenced in the credits and I can't seem to find the name of it anywhere. Does anyone remember what it is called?

Sorry to be so vague, but if you remember the film you probably remember the music played over the top of the close-up shot of the Malcolm McDowell character in the final seconds of the film.

Thanks for reading!

The only one I know from that film is a choral piece called 'Santus' from Missa Luba ( An African Mass).
The only other music was 'Toccata' from Symphony for the organ no:5 by Charles Widor. Listen to it hear:

The hymn in question is called "Stand up, Stand up", although the word "college" has been used instead of "Jesus" to make it more of a anthem for the school. You can find out more about its use in the film at this address: www.popgarcia.co.uk/0501feat-m.html
