Having wrestled with Mepham's TWO senior moments this week, I am stuck on 5d (thin tissue used in cooking); 11d (1958 sports car designed by Donald Healy); 24d (subemerged ridges of coral near surface of the water).
Many thanks in advance if some erudite souls out there can put me out of my misery.

50 across (Dick )Cheney was the answer, but there were 7 spaces allotted.
12d the answer Drachm is actually 1/8th of an ounce NOT 1/16th as MM claims!
Definition of drachm - a dram in apothecaries' and troy weights, and sometimes in avoirdupois weights.
So using avoidupois 1/16th oz is fine
Quite, mrvertigo - drachm perfectly acceptable for the clue given.
I put Chenney for 50a - seemed to be the mistake he was looking for!
That clue was voided mrvertigo - Michael Mepham admitted the error (although I agree these errors are happening far too frequently) - and any answer (or none) would be acceptable.
