Which larger than life character in fiction received his name as a result of the words uttered by his father when he first saw him? Is anyone out there kind enough to point me in the right direction please.

Big Ears???☺☺☺
Sorry for the answer before but I have scoured my lists of fictonal characters and also enlisted the "other half" as his knowledge of Dickens etc. is pretty good, but we can't find anything that fits. I thought Tiny Tim but he wasn't a larger than life character. Will keeep on looking though.
for some reason, I keep remembering the Penguin in batman

Thanks for the input. I could not find a Pinocchio connection, seen that on here as well. Liked the Big Ears suggestion, Rogerr, you been looking in my mirror! Now going to research The Penquin, thanks Mazie.
I think the answer is Frankenstiens monster. Did not victor frankenstein say "i've created a monster" just after he came to life. The monster after all always thought of victor as his father
try Gargantua (Rabelais)
Hello Frank - have you checked that one out? - seems to be the one they're after... Anyway, thank you very much - you're welcome!
