Look up! You may see one poking his head out of the nest.

By the time the chicks are ready to leave, they look exactly like the parent bird - they even look the same size. And they very soon learn to fly properly and aren't fed by the parent bird once they fly the nest.

i always wondered this, my uncle in canada had pigeons and i got to hold a baby one, they are not as cute as little chicks.

What do you call a baby pigeon? This is a serious question.
I think they are calles squabs.
