I do not drive but would like to go to the Dordogne area and especially see the villages of Sarlat and Rocamadour. I gather that local transport is not that brilliant. The only coach tours that I can find leave from Great Britain and tour around France. I would like to fly to the area using a low cost airline and link up with a local/regional coach tour operator. Any advice on local coach operators? Thanks.

ryanair fly to bergerac and rodez from stansted. from bergerac you can reach sarlat by train 6 times a day (5 on sundays), with bus connections from there to souillac. rocamadour has its own station although it's a bit more than a brisk walk to the town; trains reach rocamadour from rodez 6-7 times daily. getting from sarlat to rocamadour is a bit convoluted, involving a diversion via brive.
but, if you're good at french you could try the local office tourisme,
OFFICE DE TOURISME DE ROCAMADOUR
46500 ROCAMADOUR
