I find this a very hard x-word. You don't see many questions for Azed on AB. I assume not many of us attempt it. Anyway MANY THANKS for any forthcoming help.

I agree elderly. This week's seems harder than usual and when i posted a question earlier i had only the one response. I think only the aficionados tackle it.


I have put ACHAGE- though not very convincingly. A shortened Ache (longing) around hag (crone)

11. arle, grass= barley minus by ie shed. Not sure about 25. but have the same letters as you but if you go on a google search and enter the word achage it links with poets. I'm stuck on 27d and 33a. Any suggestions. Judy
