Congrats to Mrs. T Crowdy of Kendal who won this quiz with 36 points. Followed closely by Mr. Burton of Bucks., and Mrs. Evans of Norfolk , half a point behind.

Answers are on the way to those who requested them and your token should be with you by the end of the week Mrs. Crowdy.

Feed back welcome re: too easy/ too hard and also would people be happy with one such quiz each term i.e 3 times a year or is this too frequent?

Thanks to all who played and we raised 90 for the Choral Foundation.

would love three quizzes a year. found some questions difficult to give a precise answer to,they were a bit ambiguous or had several answers that could all be correct

thanks for reply. I didn't set the quiz so was given the answers but I thought some were ambiguous and 1 I found was wrong! Tried to be as fair as possible when marking.

Hi macpark...received a copy of the answers, thanks, but no quiz returned so I don't know what was accepted. Could you or anyone remind me what questions 38 & 40 were ?

Ditto mozzie's comments on being ambiguous.

Any time you have another quiz I would love to hear about it. Thanks xx

As earthakitten says above, thanks for the answers macpark. Please could the questions be returned as well another time.

Earthakitten, I don't remember what questions 38 and 40 were either and I've also been trying to remember what question 29 was about.

Sorry to all - I have made a big boo boo here. It's a steep learning curve for me this!!

Q29 was How many colours of Smartie in a normal tube (8)
Q38 Is there such a thing as Chocolate Soup? Yes - it's in the Green & Black's Cook book
Q40 What perennial flowering plant smells of chocolate? Cosmos
I agree that some of the questions were ambiguous but I didn't set the quiz. When I was given the answers I thought some of those were a bit dodgy too so I checked the, changed a couple and gave quite a lot of lassitude when marking.
Don't hesitate to ask if you've any more queries and I'll do better next time - honest!

Dear macpark...Thanks for the answers .I've been running quizzes now for about four years and believe me you always think that it could have been different, better etc. I check, check, check and check again but without fail there will be an answer that you did not expect !

On my last 'Fruity Quiz' ....another name for the tomato, obviously it was a love apple....one answer was peach !!! I thought it must have been a guess, kitten wrong again. Apparently it can also be called a wolf peach !!!! Well you learn something new everyday don't you . My new Art Quiz will, I have no doubt, have me chasing my own tail to verify an unexpected answer. I do not set the quiz with internet but I do find it easier to re-check with it as I know many quizzers use it as well as books etc. Off to plant my tagetes in the rockery now. Enjoy the rest of a beautiful day. Look forward to your next quiz. xx
