Denmark
Scotland...Hamlet was Denmark.
Yes Shaneystar you are quite right it is Scotland. Sorry Raichu, momentary lap in concentration!
Perhaps the 'Mac' in 'Macbeth' might have been a clue. Possession of the Scottish crown isn't really the subject of the play, Raichu.

I thought it was about possession of the Scottish crown QM? My wife and I went to see it in Edinburgh last year, as far as I could make out, he (Macbeth) was given honours by the king of Scots, it was his wife that wanted the crown..................... ah got it, the subject is Lady Macbeth's greed.

Sorry QM

Like most tragedies, JL, 'Macbeth' is about a basically 'good' man with some fatal flaw of character which leads him further and further into error until it destroys him...and much else around him. The setting in this case centres on possession of the Scottish throne, but in a sense that is incidental. That's all I was trying to say. Cheers
If the answer is for Chat this week, then it's defo Scotland - 8 letters
