because: It beats the cr*p out of Skegness

Very humorous, but I was hoping for a more sensible answer! Thanks anyway.
I'd like to spend my holidays under the Mediterranean sun because I go weak just dreaming of seven days there.
Question Author

Thank you for you answers so far - would just like to read what others would write.

I know, I know, I spelt mediterranean wrong in my Q. No excuses other than I had my Granddaughter on my knee when I was typing it!

Oi! don1, Skegness is lovely - in the winter!

Because I have felt under the weather for too long
Question Author

Thank you grannyg - you are certainly right there!

Although the tie breaker isn't for me, it's for my friend - yes, another Daily Mail reader. I don't get time to do competitions - I only wish I did!

P.S. She said if she wins, she'll bring me back an even nicer present!

Believe it calls for in an apt and original way. If u won using someone else's slogan, would that person have a legal entitlement to half of the prize i.e joint ownership?

Question Author

Oh no, we're really good friends couchpot!

She has already sent off her coupon, but as she was talking to me about it, I thought I'd see what other's would write, that's all. ;o}

P.S. I see what you mean though - it could be tricky!

I don't think anyone would supply u with a real gem as they would want 2 keep it 4 themselves, & once posted on this site, it would then cease 2 be original & if u had say, 50 people using it, then all those 50 would be rejected by the judges (how would they be able 2 pick a winner out of the same T/B? 49 others would feel aggrieved. If u want, I could happily give u some pointers
Question Author

It's okay thank you couchpot, it really was only a one off question.

I personally don't get time to do competitons &/or send off coupons. I love doing Arrow Words & Crosswords when I get the time though!

Thanks again.

Righto! here we go: Look at the buzzwords Med, Sun etc & make alist of all words that rhyme & try 2 form into a couple of sentences, don't worry if u go over, as u can pare it down as soon as you get a basic idea ,as soon as your brain juices start flowing you'll be able 2 substitute more meaningful words that put your T/B into a far more succinct context, don't forget 2 try & incorporate words that hold double or hidden meanings. Once you've got a rough draught, forget about it, put it away & look at it a few days later, If it looks rubbish &sounds corny, then it's a pretty good bet the judges will think so too!!
what i can't understand is why the DM did this comp this way? perhaps it was to cut down on the No. of entrants? because as soon as a lot of people see the dreaded word TIEBREAKER, they tend not 2 bother, leaving the way open 4 the elite compers such as valerie dallimore, who are prolific tie breaker winners, 2 clean up, leaving us mere mortals 2 continue wishing & dreaming DO NOT BE AFRAID OF T/B's The more u do the better u get at it
