Having just played a game of scrabble I am rather annoyed. Only 6 tiles left in bag, my opponent exchanges 6 of his tiles on his last go leaving me with the Q and all his bad letters :O( nothing in the rules to say this is not allowed, but how unfair is this???

That could be considered a good tactical move - perhaps one for you to consider another time if you have a duff hand towards the end.
...so salamanda you were playing scrabble with my ex then?...lol ....he used to do this all the time as he could not stand to loose ...bloody annoying to say the least....

from what i can see you must state at the outset any rules that will affect your game so tell your opponent that there must be a minimum amount of tiles left before any change can be made

if you like scrabble try www.isc.ro

this is the best site you will find for scrabble and when playing on here you cannot change tiles when there are less than seven left

sorry if that sounded like an ad but it is worth a look

if you play club scrabble you are not allowed to change your tiles unless there are 7 tiles left in the bag, below that it is bad luck and you must sweat it out!!!
