Does anybody feel as angry as me about advertising loans on childrens TV? My three year old was watching childrens TV and very third advert was for a loan! why advertise on childrens TV in the first place? wouldn't this encourage children to take out loans in the future as they would see it as normal? it would just put the future generation into debt surely!. As an adult, if i wanted a loan (which i don't) i would go to the bank, i dont want to be inundated with them while watching Bob the Builder with my daughter!

If you ever get the chance subscribe to Discovery Kids. Great programmes (educational without the kids knowing it!) including the best kids prog ever "Gross!" but best of all, no adverts.

Just been told by a colleague that the Disney Channel has no ads either. (And of course Ceebeebies). Time to go digital : - )

I think that the whole point, they expect parents to be watching these programs along with their young children. And lets face it kids are expensive.......
lol, why are you all so angry? What annoys me is that Carol Vordeman advertsises those rip-off merchant loans.
urrgghh i hate that "it dosent have to be thattt way" one. on the other hand, shouldn't you be watching tv with your kids, or better still not letting them watch too much?
