I agree - I have found 3 as well - equestrian high jump and long jump and some bizarre swimming obstacle race.

Yes 1900, but I had cricket, croquet & basque pelota.


I have found those three in the back of my book too under "discontinued sports"


The book is David Wallechinsky's "Complete Book of the Olympics" - also right at the start of the book under 1900 he says "The 1900 games included some unusual one-time events" and then goes on to mention the three I gave.


Logically I suppose those three might not be considered sports in the way the question intends but I agree once more that cricket, croquet and basque pelota only appeared in the 1900 games
