Listened to "hey music lover" last night by s'express. Is this the greatest dance tune ever made? Or have I lost the plot cos I love Acid House?

A very underrated song, I love the bit played on the kiddies piano wotsit (I was gonna put "played on the kiddies organ" but that might sound dodgy!). I remember it on Top Of The Pops too. Thank you for reminding me, I'm gonna play it NOW!

Sorry ned but in my list of great acid house records (and i do have one) this comes very low on the list.
I do however have a completely bonkers Phillip Glass remix of it.
And surely - dont you have to have lost the plot to like acid house (if not - it really helps if you have)

I agree with gary baldy on this one ned. I know this all is a matter of taste, but, for me, S'Express' version doesn't hold a candle to Sly and the Family Stone's original on the (underrated) "Dance To The Music" album.

HOWEVER - again for me, S Express' "Mantra For a State Of Mind (Elevation Mix)" is right up there as one of the greatest ever Dance tunes, full stop! If it wasn't 11 minutes long and utterly inappropriate, I'd consider it for my funeral!

And the first S'Express album as a whole is a cracker too. Must dig it out. 'Nowt wrong with Acid House whatsoever.

For me it has to be Acid Eiffel by Choice , possibly the best use of a 303 that i have ever heard! Laurant Garnier is a genius!
