Wich are the best places in england to study?

i'm really hoping to study 3D animation and/or editing, and i'm thinking that i'll learn faster and better without paying for an expensive course if i take a workshop, im' not from england and i want to complement my career. I studied film making.
Can anyone give me and advice of wich option would be better to study? ...and (maybe i am expecting too much) in wich town would be better considering that my budget does not run for expensive places.
