i want to take a driving test in the usa. i can drive pretty well here in uk but dont have a licence. i am going to be travellint the states for about 3 months on a tourist visa....... any ideas?

shouldn't think they'll let you hire a car without a licence, if that's what you had in mind.

I would suggest you don't have long enough to organise a drivers test for it to be worthwhile.


You don't have a US social security number, you're not a US resident, you don't have a permanent US address, and you're on a temporary visitors visa - which I think will rule out your eligibility (although each state has different laws).


If you want to drive in the US, suggest you pass your test here.


If you want a US drivers license suggest you contact a drivers school in the state you are visiting before you get there to see what can be done.
