Yes, still working on this one and would like to put it to bed before going onto this week's. Have got all but six:-


1ac Drink best businessman can tap into (6) - - - T - P


2dn Displaying a strong rage (5) - - I - E (afire?)


36ac Support maximum intake to supply vacancy (8) - A -K - I - L (not sure of the K, could it be backfill?)


42dn Hear Cockney is replete? That was painless (7) E - S - F - - (is it 'easeful'? - I don't have Chambers and it isn't in my dictionaries)


51ac Collector rakes in pounds for gaolbird (8) - - T - - - R (second letter might be L if 'easeful' is correct). Could it be Fletcher? (Just got the RALPH for 45dn - make 6th letter H.


Any help appreciated.

I think you're right with afire- a- f (as in forte-strong) and ire as in rage


and also Fletcher. Collector is fetcher and pounds is L

42dn Cockneys drop H's so ease and replete ful[l] is easeful 51ac Fetcher gets pounds L so Fletcher

Thanks everyone. Can't believe I didn't get LAPTOP - I'm using one just now!! I assume that people are happy that 'easeful' is a word?
