Hi, I am hoping some of you RTE Guide puzzlers can help me out on my last clue; assuming that it relates to other clues in the xword. 3d. and a note after the fourth. I cannot figure it out, would appreciate your help. Many thanks.

'Mark as best answer' sometimes confuses people
16:41 Mon 10th Apr 2023
Hi Goldie. Is the answer 4 letters ? DATA
D a Ta would work for that clue if the preceding clue has......... at the end and Data is somewhat related to that clue.
Just a guess with the info available.
Question Author
Sorry Mark I should have given more info. It is 5 letters ?i?e?. I don't know if it relates to the fourth clue 4d. Could be the Hothouse Flowers B-side to their biggest hit. (4) The answer to that is Stay. It is either related to that or totally separate. If it is separate do you think it might be fiver, which is a not and iv is four.
Is this the crossword where clues relate to Dracula?
Question Author
meant to say that fiver is a note.
Question Author
It is Mark but this clue does not have anything to do with the Dracula clues.
Goldie, why are you calling everybody Mark?
'Mark as best answer' sometimes confuses people
Hi Goldie, I think i've got it.

I don't know a song by the hothouse flowers called 'Stay'

But one of there hits 'Love don't work this way' Had a B-Side called 'See-line Woman'
https://www.discogs.com/release/1680197-Hothouse-Flowers-Love-Dont-Work-This-Way

[Could be Woman] = Lady

A Lady Gadiva is the nickname for a Fiver (Note)

Could your Stay answer be Lady ?

Ooops. Please read 'Their' for 'There'
I don't want to be told off by the Grammar police ;-)
Question Author
Thank you Klazomaniac for going to all that trouble. All the answers I have are correct. The clue for (4)a was; Could be the Hothouse Flowers B-side to their biggest hit.

Their biggest hit was Don't go so the answer fits in as Stay. That also fits in with the clue across which is Gotta be gettin on drools Dracula for an age. The answer to that is long in the tooth.

So I still have (3)d .... and a note after the fourth, -i-e- (5)

These clues may not be connected at all. That's what I dont know. If they are not connected I am thinking that the answer may be fiver as in a fiver note and fourth being iv. Any thoughts?
I see what you're saying now Goldie (Stay looks good)

What is the preceding clue to 3d ? (Is there a 1d or 2d) ?

The Ellipsis (.......) tells you that the previous clue is part of the 3d clue.
Question Author
The previous clue is (2)d Granted...silver to begin (6) Answer is Agreed.
Question Author
That's another reason why I think it might be like a fiver note after silver change but i just don't get what the fourth has to do with it; just annoying!
If (Granted...silver to begin) is the whole clue, I can't help :-(
Question Author
No problem, thank you for your time.
How about this Goldie.

Fixed (A type of Note and a synonym of Agreed)

A fixed note in Music (I'm not musical, so i'll let you have a read)

Goldie - the answer is FIFTH

the answer to 10across that it crosses over is RecenTly (of Late - dead)

giving you the T

Q10 is And here you'll find me, ever so gravely
Question Author
Thank you to Ducksie and Klazomaniac but I can't agree as those answers do not register with me. Answer to 10a is cemetery not recently and fixed is too way out.
What's the clue for 10a?
