Is there a consensus on 112d "member of the four divisions of prehistoric greeks"

?o?i?n

Dorian or Ionian. Both fit clue prefectly.

Do you toss a coin on this one?

Eolian

Good question, both the answers fit the clue, so it does look like we are to toss a coin!

Well at least I spell it Aeolian so its 50:50 not 33:33:33 !!!

Going Ionian
Aeolian is certainly one way to spell it.

Suggest you Google - IONIAN

A bit late I know but I've only just got round to finishing this puzzle off (wonder why!) I'm going for Ionian -Britannica gives that the Dorian division consisted of three tribes and was "apparently" quite seperate from the four Ionian tribes specified in the question.
