Shortly after 11 am, Radio 2 will be exclusively airing the newly discovered Queen track, 'Face It Alone', the first Queen track to feature Freddie Mercury in 8 years.

Nice, but I won't remember. I'll have to hope someone tapes it for me.

And here are the lyrics - such as they are.

I'll bump this a few times throughout the day to give any late-risers a chance to hear it.
The thing is, Freddie was a bit of a perfectionist and probably didn't want this 'airing'. Queen milking a talent they no longer have. Again.
Great, thanks, has it gone 11am already then ? Where does the time go ?

I agree with you ZM. I've said for a long time that May and Taylor have been milking the Queen cow for all it's worth.
Having listened to the song a half dozen times or so, i will say that i like it. However, judging by the lack of lyrics, it does come across as something Freddie was maybe playing around with in the studio but hadn't quite got around to finishing. Many bands have these forgotten/discarded tracks lying around.
Took a few lines before it picked up IMO, but it ain't bad. It would've made a decent LP filler track; I can't really see it as a chart topping single though.
Ken thank you for posting this. just had a listen and so lovely to hear Freddie's voice again on something new.
What a loss he is.
Thanks for that Ken. I had read about it and was about to go looking for it .
Not perfection as some here think, but still lovely to hear his voice again.

Another bump.

Just listened to it for the first time, but feel I would have to listen to it some more as it hasn't quite grabbed me yet.
I agree with O-G on this.
Mr Deacon had the right idea.
Thanks for posting, Ken. Quite enjoyed but lacked "a Kind of Magic".
I thought there already was a new track on the AllAround The World album
