Fox Attacks Woman

Quite fortunate that she was agile enough to fight it off. An older, less agile person may have suffered very bad (maybe even fatal) injuries.

Brave (probably hungry) Fox, I assume that the authorities will do the only thing that they can and euthanize the poor animal. It was an unprovoked attack, had she cornered it I could understand it attacking.

My brother saw a fox and cat having a stand-off on a fence recently. The fox was twice the size of the cat but the cat was fully armed. The cat backed down first.

They will usually run from humans, LB, unless of course they are ill as this one was.
We've just had an unusual daytime visit from one of ours. Saw it looking up expectantly at the kitchen door, shrugged then wandered off to find its own lunch. ;-)

I once caught one of my cats seeing a fox off on CCTV. There was no way that cat was going to allow that fox anywhere near HIS territory.

The only thing I have against foxes is that they eat hedgehogs. I'm sure the rise in the population of foxes in urban areas is at least partly responsible for the decline in the hedgehog population in those areas.
