If I can't avoid the sun, Sandy I use my parasol....one facial skin cancer was more than enough.
I'm lucky having Dave to walk behind me holding the parasol just as in Chris's picture.

I've seen photographs taken in West Africa where tribal chiefs are shaded by giant parasols.
My beard and wide brimmed hat protect my face from the worst the sun might do.

Back in the day, sandy, umbrellas were always black and parasols white, so a reflective colour is better than an absorbing one.
