Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Can't understand some answers in RT no 51

Hi, I think I might have finished this crossword, but I may have an answer wrong, and another, although I know it's right, I can't fully understand why.

Ok,
Carpenter loses a minute returning third gift is MYRRH. Now I get the third gift part, but the rest?

The one I'm not sure of is:

21d A sports team's central line a?i?
I have AXIS - is this right? If so why, apart from the central line bit?

I am not sure about Myrrh either .It is the obvious answer but how I can't explain.No doubt some wise man will come up with a suggestion !

Carpenter was Joseph and Myrrh was the 3rd gift from the wise men Gold, franincense and Myrrh. hope you think this is from a wise man Shaneystar....

i think the carpenter is harry carpenter losing 'a' with m for minute

I agree with reasoning given for MYRRH, but also saw the following :

(Harry) Carpenter losing A, minute returning would be Harry (without the A) and M for minute backwards, which spells MYRRH.

I reckon that must be it, Bourne(not)Stupid. I don't think it's a great clue though because the H(a)rry should be returned before the minute is added on ie Carpenter loses a returning minute third gift but of course they couldn't put that.
