Bobbi, what can you do about the tiles??

Looks like we will have to rip off the completed work as I can’t get a replacement Emmie , this is going to cost me £200 for something that wasn’t our fault
haven't they got them anywhere, any store, seems remarkable they have run out....
Bobbi, you have my sympathy.
Take the refund (if some of it wasn't already fitted, I would have sent the whole lot back.)

Tp be practical. Have a pic of whatever is now missing (from the catalogue.) I don't know what style it is, but check online for anything that would be acceptable as a substitute.
Popular kitchens tend to be quite generic. You may be able to find something. I don't know what the units are, so I may be talking twaddle.
I've been in this situation before.

Many years ago I made the decision to decline any requests to fit B&Q kitchens: for two reasons...
1... There is always something missing.
2... It is always "unobtainable"

B&Q use suppliers Emmie and they stock their products, it’s the suppler saying the product is unavailable

Thanks builder, I’m going to have to either match or see if there’s something that would go with what’s on already
what a pain in the arris.
Question Author
I’m pushing for a full refund , I don’t see why we should bear the cost of something that wasn’t our fault and as I can’t match the tiles up I’m not prepared to take the hit in my bank for their incompetence
Worth checking on eBay for the tiles, Bobbi. Well worth pushing for the full refund
quite right.. not fair on you at all.
one time i had dealings with them, i was told that they couldn't bring the item i bought upstairs, i am on second floor, it was their policy, so i lugged this heavy weight brass surround fire place up four flights of stairs, never again

I’ve emailed the company’s chairman just now
good for you, if no joy try BBC Watchdog.
Question Author
Well that’s another 7 hours I’ll never get back
Thanks for the link Emmie
worth filling in a form, don't cost anything and might just see you get your money back. or try trading standards...
I agree with barry @ 14.23. It’s amazing what you can find there, when things have been discontinued by the shop.
Go to the local news...that's always worth a try. Big businesses don't like complaints about them in the news.
watchdog is a good place to start. then TSO Newcastle as linked
