Aintree looks good.

Still not sure about this one, could even be Haydock. Any ideas?
Both Aintree and Haydock are in Merseyside not Lancashire.
I think the 'glamorous garb' bit lends itself far more to Aintree than it does to Haydock. Try putting 'Aintree fashion' into Google and then doing the same for 'Haydock fashion'. There's a big difference in the results!

Further, the names of the two racecourses are 'Aintree' and 'Haydock Park', so the latter would have to be (7,4) if the setter was being accurate anyway.
Merseyside is a metropolitan county, Sedge47, but Lancashire is still a ceremonial one. There's a lot of confusion over English counties!

I agree with Buenchico, someone born in Liverpool is a Liverpudlian, a Scouser and a Lancastrian - Lancashire play a couple of first class cricket matches at Aigburth, Liverpool every season.
