do clubs have to provide free water at the bar or does it just have to be available, ie out of the taps in the toilet?

i believe they have to provide you with tap water if you ask for it but if you want nice bottled water then you need to pay for that i'm afraid!
It depends whether they are observing the safety guidelines in the Safer Clubbing Guide. If so, you will get free water, if not, I suggest to go elsewhere as this premises may not be well run and your safety may be at risk.

nah was looking for a glass of refreshing london tap water lilmiss, thought they had to as i think restaraunts do don't they?

fear not danny i won't be going bk there lol was a bit bizarre, plus i was offered ecstasy by a elf sized lady :-s

sadly there is no law which says free water must be given! A pub, club or restaurant isn't allowed to charge for the water but can charge for the glass ie, washing etc. I know this cos I used to work for the tightest Landlord in history!

Yes, but you are virtually obliged to pay for it by a generous (by UK standards) tip to the waiter

Selling drinks is how these clubs make most of their money. A glass of cola costs around 2.50. Daylight robbery. Pubs are not much cheaper either. My coke often costs more than a beer. (Coca-cola that is)
