Pilose for the first one - but shouldn't it be 'the Italian'?!
Question Author
Thank you Quizmaster. I agree about 'the' in Italian. The last time I posed a question here I believe 'senora' should have been 'signora' too.
Question Author
Sorry, 'master' instead of 'monkey' must have been a Freudian slip.
think somethings wrong with the 2nd ones letters cleo
Zaire
Question Author
Thanks rsd, I had 'pasta' in lieu of 'pizza' so it seems that biley's Zaire is the correct answer. I had 'sears' for 7d swelters, (5) and as that now needs an 'e' in the middle perhaps someone can give me the answer to that one. Thank
you both for all your help.
What about STEWS?
Question Author
Thanks crofter, I'm sure that's right. A friend of mine who's nearly 84 said 'stews' immediately when I phoned him.
