Agreed. All the Heep albums with him are essential, IMO. I remember distinctly hearing Demons and Wizards when it came out and loving the "heavy prog" aspect of it. And damn it if they didn't go and top it later in the same year with The Magician's Birthday, their finest hour IMO.

I heard them after they came out, my first album was "Return to Fantasy" & I worked backwards from there.

Anyhoo, changing the subject :-)
