I have got answers for some of them but they are stretching the imagination shall we say!! The anagram i think is author but its got a letter left over!! any help would be gratefully appreciated. The quiz needs to be in by 7th Jan.

I know EdmundD put it ealier but does anyone else think 8 is wrong and the answer is author?
I can't make any other anagram from it. Not sure about hairdresser either - wrong letter count.
