This is a quiz set by my mum's church. There is no prize (everyone who enters gets a KitKat usually!). Thanks for all the help so far. These are the only clues left (have included the ones that people weren't sure of) - only two left to go out of 100!

1. Stygian Post
2. A melody from 13 squared + 3 squared. Who would think?(7,7) (this could be Scarlet Ribbons but ?)

Stygian Post is Black Mail Stygian is Dark/ebony/black, post is mail
1 Penny Black ?
Scarlet Ribbons is (7,7) but that is the only thing that I can see that looks correct about it. Maybe somebody else would confirm if I am missing something.

In the meantime (I have already looked at this for a long time) what were the answers to clues 13 and 3, please? Maybe there is a connection.

The thirteenth letter of the alphabet is M and the third is C
13^2 = 169 and 3^2 = 9 but this leads nowhere.

I am stuck

The answer to 13 was Green Room (resting place for actors) and the answer to 3 was House of Orange (a Dutch residence)
Thanks room 512

The answer to 2 is Scarlet Ribbons. It is a hymn that is called "Who would think that what was needed". The tune is called Scarlet Ribbons. I have absolutely no idea what the squared numbers bit is about though! Hooray for google and thanks to everyone on this site who helped.
