Lets me say straight off, that unfinshed bottles of Champers are a very rare occurrence in Mikey Towers !

But people keep telling me to suspend a tea spoon in the neck of the bottle and the fizz will still be there the following day.

Now..... if this IS true, how does the science work ?

Teaspoons are 50% bubble by law, Mikey, and when cooled in a fridge part of that 50% dribbles into whatever they're suspended in.

It's pure fizzicks.
It is certainly something that ends in "cks" Douglas.

Mamy....I was given one of those things about 20 years ago, and its still sitting in my kitchen drawer, unused !

Dougie....pass that by me again.....I don't really understand !
I am going to be picky, Mikey! Why have you only half opened the bottle? Open it properly. :-)
Apparently it doesn't work but keeping it chilled helps

Use it then Mikey.

Mamy...on the rare occasions that I break open a bottle of bubbly, there is nothing left the following day !
Next time you open a bottle, make sure you have someone to share it with. Champagne does not keep well.
Being a pedant I think you mean an opened bottled of champagne that is half empty (or half full, depending on your point of view), Mikey.

If you make a habit of only consuming half a bottle of fizz I think you need one of these:

Have you chosen to ignore my pickyness? :-)

Toorak....I suspected as much, especially when someone suggested this morning, that it only works with Sterling Silver spoons, and most certainly doesn't with EPNS !
I have most obviously completely missed the point of this thread, going for a drink.

No Tilly....I was silently tittering !
Bottoms up anyone?? : )
:-( I am being ignored.
Oh! No I'm not!
A very large one Smow (not bottom) ;-)

8am Saturday? Not happening, hope you bag some.
