I have 6 that I still can't do in this quiz. I must be so daft! I have racked my brain (?) and I know the first one has had a hint given by Mama but I STILL can't get it. I would be grateful for more HINTS only please as requested by quizsetter.

7. Worn by a carpenter, perhaps (6,4) (I thought maybe 'wooden clog' but it doesn't sound right??)
12. Reportedly, John or Paul are steamrollers (6,8)
21. Throw one of 15 for this style (9) I have the answer to 15 as Trainers?
32. Egg-drink is not a success (4,5)
36. Untrustworthy men at the top of Everest? (4,5)

I feel so stupid as they are probably quite easy, but I am at the stage of looking into the clues too much now and seeing nothing!?

P.S. Mamya, I loved the hint 'soprano cads', so clever but sorry, I had to give Dave the best answer for 'squash them'!! when I thought about it after I had put 'squash what', it was so easy.

Now Dave has me wondering about Q7. I had 'wooden clog' but I didn't think it sounds right, now Dave has said 'Sounds as if they could be made by one of his tools' - I can only think of noise made by a hammer - tap? duurr
