This might be a really stupid question, but this is my first time trying the Rainbow Quiz and the following has confused me. Why at the beginning and end of some of the questions is there a row of dots? For example:

17. Army man choosing to hug cockney girl. A character, for sure, we're told!.......

18. .......nice to run into the old soldier - a successful puzzler?

The ellipsis means that it either just reads on syntactically - or that there's a thematic connection.
