Thanks roslyn. I looked at Wicki for DROCongo and ROCongo towns.
Could not find Idiofa.
Unfortunately I don't see where to put it.
I have the first four across answers in the first two rows. All 5 letters.
3A is one of the meals. 4a is A stride backwards.
Been out all night so not looked at it again... but 6a is 6 letters ... fits at beg of row 4 and so far I have ?00?34
9a I have ??4?0
3d fits at top of col 4 and I have 23??
8d starts in row 3 col 1 .. I have ??4?
Will have another proper go tomorrow after speccie! See you then!
My first thought was that 9a is an anagram: looked it up but could not find the meaning hit. So abandoned it.
8D is B+3 letter dress meaning prison.
3D is 23??31.
Tried to solve using the hint for legendary label. Still not there. Need another nudge. Where does it start in Row 4?
6a label as in record label
hit synonym is in Bradfords
3d is 4 digits and starts at top of column 4 (but if it was 6 digits- it's not - the last one would be 0 not 1 - check your digits for 9a)
8d yes - the prison synonym is also in bradfords.
I had 3 numbers for 3d so was able to deduce that the missing digit was 1 because of the 12 pentominoes that have to form.
Will try the separating later!
